House of Peace is located in the Calder Valley overlooking the town of Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire. Fantastic views over the surrounding countryside show a diversity in landscape. Over crags and vales, wooded glens and meandering rivers through peaceful villages and bustling market towns.

The town of Sowerby Bridge itself was originally a fording point over the once much wider River Calder where it joins the 
River Ryburn. The town takes its name from the historic bridge which spans the river in the town centre and a thriving textiles and engineering industry grew up around the bridge.

Although set back in a rural location it’s easily accessible from the M60 situated between Manchester and Leeds in the North of England.
